Forget the cheap Chinese no name brands… This is the rubbery/elastic real-McCoy! – There’s no electrical tape like this 3m material! It’s very sticky, the adhesive doesn’t break down under heat, the tape stretches, conforms and wraps like a tight membrane around whatever wire you are sealing. If this is a 10 rated, the Chinese disconunt tapes are maybe a 2. Don’t bother, get this stuff! it’s great!

It Works! – ove this electric tape, I accidentally broke a plastic holder in my laptop to have the keyboard connected to the motherboard. Used this tape to hold down the connection, saved myself a lot of money

Used it for blocking light – Not sure why I’m reviewing electrical tape. I think everyone here buying it knows what they’re in for, but i feel like my use case might be interesting. I have a bunch of annoying lights from all my electronics that add a bunch of unnecessary light in my room when I’m trying to sleep. I tried searching for “light blocking stickers” and came across a product that offered a bunch of little black shapes you could stick to things to block light, but it seemed a little pricey for what you get. A friend suggested I use electrical tape instead. It works like a charm and now I have basically an infinite amount more than the stickers and I can cut them in whenever shape or size I want, for over less than half the price. It sticks well and blocks the light perfectly.
