Hasn’t fit any doors yet – This is clearly made well and arrived fast. Easy to understand too. Unfortunately, I have taken two vacations with it and have yet to find a hotel or room door that it fit. It also doesn’t work on my apartment door. In summary: Doesn’t fit all doors. Keeping it to keep trying other doors as I travel. Bummer.

Happy I made this purchase – I am happy I made this purchase at audit to take with me on an overseas business trip. Unfortunately I never got to use it so I do not know if it functions well, but I am glad that I have it for my next trip.

Added safety is amazing! – I was very reluctant to purchase this because I thought it would be flimsy but I wanted to add security to our Airbnb doors when we are traveling. Boy o boy were these a pleasant surprise! I purchased two and was able to secure our doors with no problem and felt very safe when they were in use and they could not be seen at all from the outside. While I am not sure if this would be able to be used on a hotel door, I would highly recommend them for most styles of doors!

Tricky to use – Be careful to follow the directions exactly for placement in/on your door. I had the paper in hand to refer to the 1st couple times I used it. The next time, when I thought I knew what I was doing, I installed it in the wrong position and ended up locked in! Had to get someone to crawl on the roof to get in my window to take my doorknob apart from the inside, then another person on the outside to reassemble the knob and deadbolt. Worked well when used properly; a huge inconvenience when not used properly

Always a good purchase – love love this product it helps me feel secure . I have one for traveling (hotels, cruise ships (if door goes inwards) and even overnight at relatives for my room -I love it easy to use quick and it secures the doors –so I bought 2 more (addalock) the original again for my apartment (use on front door and door that leads to the balcony )-Yes its more expensive than the knock offs but I think the metal is thicker than on the knock offs. FYI if someone wanted to get in they can with a lot of effort and lot of noise but it will definitely make me aware and give me time to call for help and to get something to defend myself )

Secure…. – I apologize for the long review. However, in order for you to understand how this product worked for me- I must share my story. I feel so much better adding this small but secure feature to my apartment door. I usually will not leave a review sharing my personal business however, after what happened to me today I feel the need to post this. In doing so I hope to help anyone who needs feedback in order to purchase this product.

Works to keep people out of rooms without conventional locks. – It will not work with every door; you need enough space to insert it into the jamb, and it needs to fit into the strike plate. If you have a compatible door, it’ll do what it was intended to do. I find the product to be good to get privacy while in a room that has an electronic lock with a code or a lock with a master key.
