3 star problems have been corrected. – This safe cannot be unlocked with scissors, the lock has been majorly improved. Amazon heard of shipping damage, my unit arrived in a heavy gauge box with more than ample side and corner protection and zero damage.

A great small security cabinet for the home. – Keep in mind this isn’t a safe. It’s a security cabinet. Its not insulated or fireproof, but its a great security cabinet. Great size 13x13x14. You can program it to not beep as you press the combo buttons. Yes a thief could pick it up and carry it away. But not if you carefully place where it can be secured to a wall thru the pre drilled hole in the rear of unit. Screw it to one stud would be enough to deter most any thief. If they want it bad enough the will & could pry or break the door open. However you will have done enough to deter all but most bold thieves.

Roomier than expected – housing multiple handguns, magazines, passports, etc. – First and foremost, this safe is not going to prevent theft and is not intended to be a thief deterrent. I’m using it to lock firearms up so that when we have guests (and small children in the house), nobody is sneaking off to play with firearms. I’m also using it to house some important documents, passports, and foreign currency – a regular Jason Bourne over here.

Great safe for an apartment – If you’ve been looking for a safe to keep your valuables, firearms, etc. but you live in an apartment and can’t keep a massive safe around this one is great. It is quite heavy on its own so it would be a pain for a thief to steal the whole thing. The keypad works great and also has an alarm/lockout if you enter a wrong password too many times. I haven’t had any issues with the battery life and I have had this for a few months. Some will say it can be broken into very easily with a ballpoint pen, but I believe that was fixed in newer models. I tried that method and I couldn’t break into mine. Easily fits a few handguns even full size if you are looking to store those. If you are a metals or coin person this can easily fit quite a few silver or gold coins. If you want to store books of coins you might need something a little larger. If you want to store cash or documents obviously that is not an issue.

Great for holding multiple pistols – I have 2 of these – one for holding my pistol collection, and the other one for holding ammo. I like these safes a lot. I have no concerns about my kids getting them open, were they to actually find out where I keep them. I’ve had them for a couple of years with zero issues and no battery replacements. Recommended!
