Expensive but Nice – The filters price adds up as it takes a couple of them a year to filter the air in a 3,000 square foot house with 2 people and a couple of cats. But, the dirty color of the filter from pure white indicates it’s doing a nice job. The design makes it really easy to replace filters.

Price Price Price…. – After the last yearly maintenance visit, my guy pulled me aside, buy the filter replacements on Amazon, ….. well I do now. They do a great job filtering the particulates out of the air, that’s what counts!

MERV 13 filter provides a noticeable improvement in air quality – We installed the Aprilaire 1213 upgrade kit (just some sheet metal brackets, easy to assemble and install) in our Aprilaire SpaceGard 2000 furnace air filter assembly. We initially were given a low MERV filter from our local retailer (we didn’t know any better) and it didn’t keep the house clean at all. After some research I purchased this two pack of MERV 13 (max filtering capability recommended for home furnaces) Aprilaire part number 231 filter replacements and they work great. My wife is sensitive to the air and pollutants and has noticed a huge improvement in allergies, etc. Will buy again and will be installing new every 6 months for maximum efficiency.

Works great, easy to install – I purchased these after losing my spouse and panicking that I had to now do the task of getting my filters to work in what was the old way – little pieces that had to be installed just perfectly. I bought the mechanism that these filters slide into and love it! If you have a furnace filter that you have to get those little plastic things to secure around the filter…throw it away and buy the piece that goes with these filters. Now changing my filter is much easier…slide out, slide in. And I love that I could put these on a 6-month interval. They arrive reminding me time to change my filter.
