A good filter for the money – While this filter cost more than standard 1″ filters, it lasts for a year and doesn’t reduce the air flow by much. The installers said to remove the 1″ filters over the air intakes as this filter is all you need. This allows me to replace two 1″ filters that had to be replaced every 90 days with this one filter that last a year and does a better job of removing particles from the air.

Only filter to replace an Aprilaire filter. – Dealer installed an Aprilaire unit on a new furnace. They last twice as long but cost 4 times as much as the old standard 1-inch filters. Seems no hardware store carries them, and no other brand makes a filter to fit in same unit. Thus, no competition. These work great but relatively expensive to use when compared to old 1-inch filters that were available in numerous stores and made by various brands.

Works great, great price, the HVAC tech said it was the perfect one for our system. – The HVAC tech said it was the perfect one for our system (that’s because it’s easy to order the right one by number). Instead of paying the HVAC service contractor for the filter (with the service company up-costs), just buy it here and hand it to the technician upon arrival for annual heater inspection/function check. By twice what you need for each year, so you won’t have to scramble to order when a hard-to-get service appointment opens up.
