Mis preferidas – Estas mascarillas son realmente buenas. Luego de probar otras marcas, me tomó tiempo encontrar el ajuste ideal para mí. Son las mascarillas que mejor se ajustan a mi cara sin dejar filtrar el aire por los bordes o sobre la nariz. Gracias a ese ajuste no se empañan mis lentes y me siento protegida en espacios cerrados. Son las mascarillas que prefiero usar, las he comprado en varias oportunidades. Lástima que la caja esperada en la reciente suscripción del mes de julio nunca llegó. A favor de Amazon debo señalar que recibí la devolución de mi dinero sin demora ni reclamo. Por la notificación recibida, parece que las de agosto tampoco las recibiré. Espero no tener que embarcarme probando otras.

Cheaper than I can buy from my normal medical supply. – I have worn a mask at work since the late 80’s. Prior to covid they weren’t N95, but since the start of the pandemic I have switched. My thought is that if you are going to bother to wear a mask then use one that fits and is more likely to filter bugs out than the less rated ones.

These are medical grade masks that are used in the healthcare industry – These are medical grade N95 masks, which means, they not only filter 95% of particles, but are also waterproof. These are the actual masks used in many healthcare settings. The fit is tight and may cause a headache or be uncomfortable, but that is necessary given that they are used to prevent healthcare workers from getting infected with transmissible respiratory diseases like COVID.

Good fit for a petite face, have kept me safe so far! – I was teaching college students during the Delta wave and during the winter omicron wave, and this mask kept me safe. (Everyone in the classroom was vaxxed and boosted, but omicron can still getcha.) I recently was on a trip for a job interview, and the mask mandate for planes and airports was lifted WHILE I was on my trip, ug. Almost no one was masked at my first airport or on my first leg flight (my second airport and my second flight were the reverse–almost no one was UNmasked), which was terrifying especially after my friend caught covid on her flight the week prior (person next to her wouldn’t mask, and eventually my friend had to unmask to eat). But I tested twice after my trip and this mask scored again! It’s hard to say of course how much keeping covid at bay has been LUCK and how much has been the high quality of this mask, but I have been in high-risk environments many times this year, with high covid rates in my area, and I have stayed safe so far whereas most of my friends at this point have caught omicron despite taking all precautions seriously. So I bought a second box of these masks. The elastic is a bit tight, but I would rather endure that than be quarantined in my postage-stamp sized apartment for 5-10+ days. Also, this is not a good mask for getting a haircut because the elastic goes around the back of your head rather than looping around your ears. (I realized this when I got my first professional haircut since March 2020, before the aforementioned job interview. I had a surgical mask in my pocket…) Yes, for haircuts you will need a different mask if you are in a location with data that suggests you should mask. But overall, this is a great product. Doesn’t squish my nose, either. I have not used these masks for wildfire season yet, so check back with me about how they fare for smoke. 😉

Great when reconfigured as ear loops – Original design over the head is way small and uncomfortable. These were very comfortable once reconfigured to wear with ear loops. It wasn’t too hard to do. Individually wrapped, but need about 3-5 days to offgas. I am sensitive to chemically smells and fumes. This has been true with every mask I have tried except the Hanes cotton ones. For the money, it was worth it to take the time to alter them.
