Great Value for Occasional Use – Maybe I got lucky but mine arrived in perfect shape. I’ve never used a stone before but I needed something to sharpen a 50+ year-old guillotine paper cutter I got on ebay to cut .020 aluminum sheet. The blades were a mess. After some rough grinding of the blades with an angle grinder, I soaked the sharpening stone in water and worked on the blades mounted in a vise. With patience and time, the blades are almost like new and cut .020 aluminum very well.
