Can’t beat these for versatility – I am using these hooks to hang hats. They are over-kill for this application, but work well. Very good adhesion, even on rough wall surfaces. They take only a few seconds to apply and are easy to place

Good for the most part – These have worked great in my dorm room. I keep a few on the wall by my door because I like to hang my bathrobe, keys, jacket and whatnot. But there is a limit to how much they will hold before they fall off the wall. I managed to keep two jackets on mine, anything more and it’s on the floor.

The ONLY was to hang Christmas stockings! – We have used Command hooks and Command strips to hang our Christmas stockings for more than 15 years; ever since they were first invented, in fact. Santa puts a LOT of HEAVY stuff in our stockings and the heavy duty hooks with these refill strips keep our stockings attached to the fireplace throughout the holiday season. Even when we have a fire burning every night, these little babies hang on tight. When the season is over, and it’s time for the stockings to come down, we simply pull on that magic little tab at the bottom, and they come right off the wall without leaving a mark. Can’t say enough good things about Command hooks and refill strips! Don’t be fooled by the imitations. We were out of refill strips this year and Amazon couldn’t get us these strips right away, so I ordered some of the imitation ones to use temporarily until the real thing came in. What a mistake. Hooks and stockings were flying off the wall from the heat left and right. But then we couldn’t get the super sticky oversized strips off the wall. That off-brand SUCKED! There is no substitute for the real thing! Insist on Command BRAND refills every time!

The best nail alternative – I used that all the times. I have a bet peeve about nailing things onto the wall. I don’t want to deal with patching up the wholes. So these are the next best thing in my opinion. They do a really good job of adhesion. One thing people to remember is to clean the surface of both the wall and picture you plan on hanging up. And don’t be afraid to use more to help support the weight of you have a heaving picture. And I like that it’s temporary and removing the strip is pretty easy.
