Better than dealing with those silly paper inserts- and better flavor! – I’ve used these for years in my coffee pots. I like the flavor better and I dislike the paper inserts although they are admittedly easier to clear up after making a pot of coffee. Husband does the clean up now and I need to replace these screens about every two years as the wire eventually comes loose from the top band and makes a coffee grounds escape zone! I prefer not to add to our waste with the paper and can easily knock out the grounds into our compost bin. Metal cleans easily- no rust develops and the flavor is far better than using any of the paper inserts I’ve tried over the years.

Good OEM Coffee Basket – The original Cuisinart gold basket had developed a hole at the bottom of the the seam frame. This replacement was delivered prior to the delivery date & looked just like the original. I took off 1 star as the basket didn’t quite fit. The plastic frame had some manufacturing debris which I had the file away before it would fit correctly. Works great without the mess of paper filters.
