Security. Value. Peace of Mind. – I purchased three of these locks. I love these locks. The installation was super easy. For two of my doors, the locking and unlocking are easy. But on the third door, I have to press the door in next to the lock as I lock and unlock it — still, it works. I suspect that the door is misaligned in some way.

SOLID LOCK…BROKEN SCREWS…HOW TO INSTALL PROPERLY – I read other people’s reviews (great lock, except for the weak screws) so I ordered two of these for our new home’s front door and the garage-side door. And I was hoping the 3-4 star reviews were wrong and I will be able to pull off a successful install. WRONG! Just like many others have said, the very first screw broke off. And after an hour and half ordeal and a broken off screw that I could not pull out, here’s what I learned. Hope this helps future buyers and installers.

I Feel Safer Already! – I was confused at first by the picture instructions because I couldn’t tell which part of the door frame was shown, so I set aside the instructiones and held the lock up to the door frame and coule easily tell what to do next. First install a screw into the wide slot but not tight. This is to hold the lock in place while you adjust it to a perfect position. Close and open the door to make sure it will close all the way and not stick upon opening. Then tighten the screw when perfectly positioned. Then add the other 3 screws – depending on the thickness of your door frame will decide if you use the longer screws or the shorter screws – I used the shorter screws.
