Bought after one too many finger nicks. – I’ve been wearing these when I work with sharpened kitchen knives. I’m suspicious of the limit of their resistance, hoping not to cut through one.

Safety first for kids learning to quilt – Currently teaching a quilting class for teenage beginners. One of the activities they need to learn is how to cut the fabric with a rotary cutter. Think extremely sharp pizza cutter. Once the gloves arrived I decided I liked them a lot. Still, they need some traction on the fingers and palms. So, I pulled out my “Liquid Stitch” and painted some on the finger tips and around the palms. Resulted in great traction for holding things. Since we had 14 scheduled in the class, I figured treating both sides of the gloves since both left and right-handers would be using the gloves. Worked out perfectly.

Durable and Comfortable Kitchen Safety Gloves – I purchased a pair of these and really like them. They fit comfortably on my large hands and I get a good grip on the foods or knives that I’m holding. I really like wearing them when I’m carving up a large turkey or ham. I’ve also used them while shredding and slicing fresh veggies and cheese. For cleaning, I toss in my washing machine and then hang them up to air dry. Very nice pair of gloves for the price!

Prevent Emergency Room Visits – I purchased these after my girlfriend sliced her thumb badly while cutting lemon bars, yes lemon bars. Suffice to say three stitches and a missed 5k later she now has a pair of fancy gloves that she wears while using anything beyond childproof scissors. I ordered myself a pair as well and they’re quite comfortable and are sized appropriately.

Keeps hands safe – Good to use in the kitchen while using sharps. The only problem is they are difficult to put on and take off when wet.

Amazing safety device! – I am a women with smallish hands and I bought a medium. I love these so much I bought a second pair. I wear them when using my mandolin slicer, my grater, and to hold slippery potatoes when using my vegetable peeler. No more knicks or bloody knuckles. I gifted a larger pair to a hunter in the family who uses them when field dressing deer, moose and gutting fish. The wash great and are comfortable to wear.

They truly are cut resistant…. – Okay so this summer, we got hooked on preparing our own Oysters. Our daughter taught us how and now my husband thinks he’s on the road to becoming a professional Oyster shucker. He opened up a bunch without gloves and I literally had a crisis when he showed me his hands after shucking. He was all cut up and literally yelped when he squeezed a lemon on his oysters. No more…I quickly ordered & received these gloves. First Oyster the knife slipped and went across the palm of his hand (he was wearing his gloves – thank the Lord)! No wound, no emergency trip to the ER, no hand surgeons, or hand specialists. We have kinda gone down this route before if you haven’t guessed. I highly recommend these gloves for general safety (you could even wear them when eating lobster, protect your hands) or for shucking any kind of shellfish. My only “issue” is that I had to hand wash these gloves with dawn and allow to air dry. I didn’t think it would be sanitary to just throw in the washer machine bc I didn’t want the washing tub to smell like seafood forever. I could bleach the washer tub but c’mon more work….so I passed and hand washed. These gloves do run true to size. My husband has very large hands and the large fit perfectly. Our daughter has very small hands – so I bought her size appropriate and they fit perfectly. If you care about the safety of the person preparing the seafood that needed to be shelled or shucked – these are the route to take. Enjoy and take a deep breath of relief because that’s what I was able to do after purchasing these. They do hold the seafood scent so a quick spray of lemon juice after the dawn when washing did rid them of any seafood smell.
