Perfect answer to my problem – My autistic son kept pulling the TV plug out of the wall and it was damaging the TV every time he did it. I was also scared he would end up shocking himself and he needed a quick simple answer. This was perfect. At first I couldn’t work out what was wrong with it and that was completely my fault for not reading the instructions. It’s a simple item but a little thing like not realizing it came with screws with longer stem on them. Can really screw you up. Once I read the instructions and saw that there were additional screws that went with the product, then it was easy to install and simple to use. Solve my problem perfectly for a minimal cost. I am extremely happy with this product and would buy it again and recommend to everyone with small children or children who mess with plugs.

Perfect for my cat – My cat is a jerk and likes to constantly unplug my tv while I’m watching it. Literally, goes to the plug and pulls it out. Modify to fit a 3 port RJ45 keystone plate – The spacing of the holes for attaching it to a wall plate is for electric outlets. I needed this to cover a keystone plate for my network cable. As the picture shows it does not line up but was easy to cut a bit of the plastic with a utility knife to make it work. Top hole is original and bottom I cut a bit of plastic off to make it work. Now it’s secure.

Comparing Dreambaby to Safety First – I have some Safety First covers from a couple years ago when I had my first baby, and bought these Dreambaby when my second baby started crawling. As you can see from the photos the Safety First brand is much larger and made of stronger heavy plastic. It’s impossible for a toddler or preschooler to open. In fact I had issues opening it once it’s installed. But the opening for the cord at the bottom is very small. It can fit a regular thin lamp cord, but not a thicker cord like from a power strip which is what I needed. The Dreambaby brand definitely fits larger cords but is much smaller and it’s hard to cram a larger rectangular outlet plug in it. The plastic is thinner and flimsier and easier to open. I doubt a toddler could open it but a 3 or 4 year old with good fine motor skills could probably open it.
