Double sided Seaming Single sided – Reading through the questions it wasn’t clear that the choices given are both single and double . I thought the seaming taped two carpet edges to look as one and secured it down as well. I’m not that special so I’m sure it’s happened before. The seaming is for joining two pieces together that does not need to be in a permanent spot. I’m using the double sided tape to lay carpet in the driver and passenger sides of my RV. Just pay close attention to the discretion. I’ll try it with the double sided layer first but have no confidence.

My go to two-sided tape – I’ve tried other two-sided carpet tapes but I won’t buy anything but this brand any more. Tape itself is thicker than any other I’ve used and easier to work with.

It worked on commercial carpet – Super flat carpet in my office and stuck to it great. Had a new rug that hadn’t quite settled to flat yet and kept causing people to trip. Hasn’t happened once since taping the rug to the carpet. Again carpet is super flat and tight together, typically used in office spaces. Would not recommend on home carpet that is soft, more separated.

Why didn’t I discover this awhile ago! – I wish I had discovered this awhile back! I still have carpet in my family room with a 25ft runner including stairs! I’ve been nailing it down over the years but for some reason the nails don’t hold. Plus, we tend to step on them, ouch! Discovered this tape and it has been a game changer! Have not removed it yet but if it leaves a residue, I’m okay with!
