Best I Ever Had, bargain price – These energizers are actually much brighter than all my black diamond stuff, but I checked and they will fit the petzl battery packs. 260 lumens for $10 and they start out with a red light. My BD gear cost way more but I lost my only one with a red light.

Comfortable and Bright – Bought these to have in vehicle emergency kits and bought rechargeable lithium batteries for power. Recently used one to help track a deer while hunting and it really lit up the woods and helped me find it. Wore it for a few hours total and it fit well and was comfortable.

I was very impressed! – I bought these lights mainly for home projects when my hands are busy holding tools or parts, so the headband LED light provides sufficient light where I need it. It has enough brightness that I usually dim it down to extend battery life. As previous reviews have stated, the included directions were not specific enough about the modes, so if you look at the Amazon Q&A that starts: “Q:I’m curious how to access all 7 modes …” the Energizer answer is apparently for a different model, but below that, C. VanDoren correctly lists the functions (modes) for this PRO model. These headband units also tilt down. Some of their models don’t. I also spent extensive time looking for items either made in the USA or good allies or neighbors but, NOT made in aggressive nations, such as the one that starts with c h i and ends with “na”. According to one Q&A search for “country of origin,” one answer claimed these Energizer Headband PROs are made in USA and Canada. However, I read further on the box and saw “Light made in China”. It’s manufactured FOR Energizer (St. Louis, MO and Mississauga, Ontario). To me, as an American (USA), I am concerned if our money goes to a country that does not have our best interests at heart. I would like to say that stronger but, it might be removed, so I’ll leave it there. I still like the design and modes of the light. I’ve not used it outdoors yet, but the modes seem quite flexible with spot, flood, dimming, etc . I tried the red LED mode in a dark room and they appeared bright, although I have no way of measuring lumens. This item includes 2 complete headband units and Energizer batteries. You do have to place the straps into the clips and insert the batteries, but they’re fairly logical.

I have a red one I have used for years, I couldn’t tell you how many hundreds of hours or how many mega packs of batteries the light has outlasted. I have recently bought the green ones and these gray ones as they have the red light option for bug season. The blue ones are the cheapest model, I bought some of these for the kids and leave them in the camper. They all work great. My least favorite is the most expensive model because it has multiple buttons to turn on different functions… I get confused easy. The batteries are easy to install without having to pry the back off, the hanger for the strap hasn’t broken like a few of my Black Diamond lights did; I have dropped them, abused them, lost and found them… a go to for sure. I am a night owl and have project after project after the kids go to bed… I wear a headlamps a lot!!! I hope they never change the design and quality.
