No voice alert – The alarm is easy to install and the signal is loud. I was a little disappointed that the alarm does not have the voice alert option. When reviewing this product before purchasing, there were several customer questions answered regarding voice options, as well as customer reviews with videos showing the voice alerts. So I purchased the item with the understanding this feature was included. However it is not included. Misleading reviews/information was the reason for a 4/5 star. Otherwise, the product is sufficient for its purpose.

Works – I replaced a real old unit with this one and upgraded to include carbon monoxide. Test the unit after installation and it works real well.

identical to the one it replaced – this is my 3rd. each seems to malfunction after 5 years. while this one looks identical it seems to lack several unnecessary features. it doesn’t talk as much (smoke in the master bedroom) (malfunction, see manual) etc. and doesn’t seem to have the occasional light blink that tells you it’s still alive.
