Best meter made is a Fluke – Easy to use.

Get with it, Fluke – The industry standard, falling behind. Can’t fault the components and internal build as usual, but can’t get the little stuff right. Leads are not silicone and probe caps don’t ‘click’ on. No probe storage on the case. Kickstand is a laughable appendage. Stone age packaging and features compared to ASTRO M4KOR and others in the same safety category. Otherwise, another nice overpriced Fluke in the arsenal.

Amazing DMM – I’m an electrical engineering student so I purchased this to use in testing circuits, resistances and voltage mainly. As soon as I took it out of the box I noticed how heavy the DMM is, I’ve handled other brands DMM’s before but they’re typically light as they’re just thin plastic. This one is not, it is very sturdy and well built. The magnet on the back is strong and can be easily hung from any steel surface. The DMM is also very precise and has already proved to be invaluable in figuring out why circuits aren’t working. I’ve only had it for about two weeks and it has already proved to be a great investment

Lacking accuracy – Using an AD584 Precision Voltage Reference. The Fluke 77 on the left is 35 years old. If you crave accuracy, there are better choices available.

A good little meter with bad leads – The meter works great since it’s a Fluke but has no kick stand on the back to let it set up and the leads that come with it are cheap and too stiff. They are rather long though.
