Trick to removing backing – I read the reviews about these being hard to peel, but risked it and bought them anyway. They are definitely hard to peel with your hands alone. The trick is to use a box cutter to cut very lightly and carefully into the plastic backing, giving you a tab to pull it away without the foam sticking. After getting over my frustration and figuring that out, I’m very happy with the product itself. For such a thing material it is doing a great job blocking the drafts from my AC and window.

Doesnt seem to last – The other reviews are right about this being hard to install because it’s a pain to get the strip off the sticky part, but since you spend so much time trying to do it, you get better at it and it’s not really a big deal. This worked great for a rackety door I had on windy nights, until a couple months later when the problem came back. It got too squished and then wouldnt rebound, so it’s like I never put it on. Maybe it’s just my circumstance. Maybe I can put some more on and keep swapping them out. I don’t know but it’s not really working out for me in the end

it’s ok, difficult at times, but works. – The insulation being thin breaks very easy while running it along a door frame, the adhesive tape is difficult to get cleared of the stripping and will pull and tear it, it takes some patience, but it does stop the cold/hot air from getting in once applied, it’s a.. you get what you pay for deal here.

Adhesive is almost too strong – I used this to fill in the small gap that the worn out door gasket on my truck at work. It helped to do that but you need to know that the adhesive is SUPER STRONG and holds on to the backing so well that it will rip the stripping when separating them. You will need a sharp edge to help get between them and separate them. Once you do, your good to go but know it will stick to anything fast so be careful.
