Easy to read and use — but no directions come with it!!! – I downrated this meter because no directions came with it. So, I searched the internet and found the user’s manual– which, ironically, says to “read this users manual carefully and thoroughly before using the instrument.”

Great reader – We have been having bad luck with getting supposedly seasoned wood that is definitely not seasoned so we got this to check how wet the wood actually is and it works great. It took a few minutes to figure it out but once we did it worked great and now we know what we can burn and what needs another year to dry out. Great purchase for the price!

Good for the price – Great tool to have around. Using for checking hardwoods and the pins are soft, will bend. Comes with 1 replacement but after 2 uses they need to be switched out. Probably some better options around but for the price not too bad.

The small pins easily penetrated the drywall, and the meter provided a quick and accurate reading. I had to hire a water damage mitigation company to remove much all of my home’s interior and two feet of drywall throughout the house. I compared their electronic no-contact meter readings to the MMD4E meter, and they were the same.
