This was a great purchase – Originally I bought this for me to read in bed at night so I wouldn’t have to get up to turn the light off. Then I bough two more for my kids and they clip it to their beds or books to read. The battery charge lasts a long time, the clip is sturdy and the light is flexible. Great utility light! – I use this little Glocusent book light to illuminate the back of a separate computer monitor. It puts out a bright light and fits in a little corner on the back of the monitor. It actually outputs 3 different types of light, white bright, yellow and natural light and is dimmable. I have never used it as a book light, but I suspect the battery life is not all that great. I have left it on by accident several times and found 3-4 hours later it goes to dark. However, since it is recharged through the USB port in a very short time, maybe that does not matter. You may be able to use it while charging, I have not checked that out.

I do wool appliqué and often had trouble seeing my stitches, especially if the thread color is the same as the color of the wool. I purchased this light to clip on to my lap table and give me more light directly onto my project. I am very happy with how it clips on and is easy to adjust. I appreciate that it is cordless and lasts a long time before needing to be charged. Although I would have preferred it to be brighter, it does really help me to better see my stitches. I think it is going to work just fine.

Perfect – This light did everything I wanted it to do. I was looking for a reading light without a cord for my toddlers room. I promise I’m not being compensated to rave about this light lol it’s just so amazing! We use it maybe 20 minutes a day and it lasts easily two weeks, and I charge it when it’s at 50%.
