Good device but software is atrocious – I really liked the presentation of this device, it is clean and well built, although the software is atrocious. Google Home is so convoluted that make you feel an idiot because all you want to do is set up the thermostat temperature range.

Surprisingly excellent Alexa integration – I needed to replace my 3 year old Vine smart thermostat. I had just tried the Amazon thermostat which, for me, was a bland abject failure. I chose the charcoal Nest thermostat, mostly because of looks & price. I opened the over-the-top packaging (seems to be the way all electronics are nowadays) to find the very attractive charcoal thermostat with a shiny face and started the install.

– There is nothing much to say about this products. Its a google product and everyone knows how well they work and for me google products are one of the best. I will definitely say that price is $15 to $20 Cheaper as compare to Best B*Y Walmar* or Visi*n. Installation is super super easy. App will guide you through complete installation or connection process. Even if you will miss connecting any of the wire app will say yellow or green or whatever wire is not connected properly. Now I can turn on/off My Home AC from anywhere.

Looks Great and Reduces Usage Automatically – I replaced and existing Wi-fi Enabled Honeywell that never worked very well. Overall the Nest Thermostat it’s a very positive upgrade : better aesthetics , better UI and much better “smart” features meaning i am saving money right away.

– The description is quite misleading when they say it will work in “most homes” without a c wire. Yes, it will if you want it to be a standard thermostat. But if you want to to be a Smart Thermostat (which is kind of the point for most people buying this I think) it will need that C wire. Install was super easy. Set up with Google home was pretty quick too. Though it specifically said you had to have a C wire twice in the step by step but does let you proceed without. But within minutes it disconnected from the Wi-Fi and saying it needed a power source. So quite a disappointment and it’s being returned.
