Top Quality Pliers and Cutters! – Hakko is a Top Quality product at a very competitive price. Look no further, these Hakko brand pliers and cutters are made in Italy and built to last. The CHP-170 Micro Cutters come with very comfortable rubber dolphin style grips that make each and every operation extremely smooth and effortless. I build miniature metal models that are extremely tiny and very delicate. I use the cutters to snip the parts out of the thin sheets of metal, and the different size pliers to manipulate the parts to shape per the instructions. At the moment, I have 5 different pliers, and 2 different sets of cutters. Each model is different, and I find myself back on the Hakko website researching a new set of pliers or cutters / snips to help me build my current project that much better, and with a little more ease! Because of the availability of different variations of pliers and cutters from Hakko Tools, my models are built to perfection. The metal model kits I buy suggest using a set of tweezers. Hakko has awesome pliers with tips that are just as small as tweezers — sometimes smaller. Because of the tools size and durability, they make working on delicate projects enjoyable — avoiding the frustrations of not having the proper tool for the job at hand. Next time you are shopping for a precision / Micro tool, skip over all of those cheap “Quality” tools and those overly expensive ones too, and pick up a Hakko CHP Brand Tool. Because of the many differences in each pair of pliers and cutters, it’s best to go to the Hakkousa website and compare each listing. Pay close attention to each description and CAD drawing — if available. Although many of their tools will look similar, there are sometimes very subtle differences in size, width, shape and length. Also, the pliers can have squared or rounded edges, serrated or smooth jaws, flat or round, pointed or even one flat and one round jaw. Some of the cutters have a different degree of angle, position of the cutting jaws, different jaw widths and can also offer a safety clip to prevent clippings from flying up. These are micro / precision tools and are meant to be used for soft precise cutting or where accurate and precision gripping is required — such examples are electronic circuitry, Jewelry Making and miniature metal 3D model making to name just a few. The description for each tool on the Hakkousa website lists the gauge limits of the soft wire for the cutters and the suitability of uses for the pliers. By no means are any of these tools designed to be used in automotive, home repair, marine or any heavy duty application. I’ve stopped looking elsewhere for micro pliers and cutters, and You Should Too!

Great snips! – Bought to cut the coating off of IP65 LED strips. Works great for that purpose, and will come in handy for others as well.

High Quality Precision cutters – This is a very high quality product. The cutting blades are very sharp and precise. This is a must have for small electrical wiring work. I was so happy with my first, I decided that I needed and second one for a backup. I am very happy with this purchase.

These work very well – clean, easy cut – I do a wide range of electronics design, build, and repair work from tube amps down to medium complexity PCBs. These are a great pair of basic wire cutters. I admit, the bar wasn’t very high for me since my last pair was from Radio Shack. :p But these have given me no problem so far… clean cut first time, every time.

They are the very best for the money. – Those used to be sold at the Radio Shark Stores. They work very well for cutting small components as electronic components. I am quite surprise that those are now made in Italy. They are the very best for the money. I recommend this product to anyone who needs it.

Very nice flush cutter – I’ve owned several pairs of this cutter and they have all been good. It’s designed for cutting leads on PC boards and does a really nice job. I tend to mess them up using them to cut things they were never designed for. Cutting wire bigger than it’s designed for or using it to cut metal will destroy the cutter.

Perfect for getting zip ties off cable management. – I work in IT and these are my favorite snips ever. People (who are not me) invariably do cable management with zip ties and crank them down until they’re crushing the cable sheaths and there’s no room to get anything in to safely cut the cables free when you’re adding or removing peripherals except these. They work perfectly for that job. Unfortunately, because of the recess in the back of the blades they’re not great for cutting cables for RJ45 ends, but there is nothing better I’ve found for undoing the last tech’s rat nest.

Very good deal quality tool – There are quite a few bad reviews but if your actually using it for what it’s meant their perfect, Im not cutting romex with these but anything up to 14-18Awg cable and any ethernet gauge is just perfect. It works really good for getting the accurate cuts needed for cat6a jack termination.
