      Make sure you rotate the filter! – TL;DR: If you let it sit in the water for too long (weekend) without running all the water through the water will all absorb into the filter and mold quite quickly and I find that it’s a bit on the expensive side for being a 1-pack filter.

      Replacing Your Filter is Essential! – If you have any humidifier that utilizes a filter it is essential to replace it regularly for continued proper functioning. While you could use it without a filter, there is a reason they have filters and that is to improve the quality of the air being circulated in your room.

      Fine – For me, these have lasted a bit longer than it sounds like others have had theirs last. I’ve had my first one after buying the Honeywell humidifier this summer last for a few months at least with no problems. I let the humidifier run dry, though, to dry it out fairly often, and rinse it out and let dry as well when I clean the humidifier. I also live in an area with good water, neither very hard nor very soft.
