Hands Free! – This is the cool home automation device that started my TP-Link KASA Smart device fondness. I was looking for something that would sense human presence and light up key areas along the path so that we didn’t have to bang into things trying to find the light switch. Along came the motion sensing light dimmer from TP-Link. It is easy to install, but does require the wiring of a neutral wire since it is electronic rather than a simple switch contact closure. Pairing it with the home WiFi network was easy, and it was up in no time. The cell app has the controls you want including, dimming, scheduling, timer, and more. At night I was able to set a low light level so that we don’t get blinded with bright light when the light turns on from darkness.

Easy Peezy – I bought these dimmer switches to pair with my Alexa devices and they pair without any issue. You can even calibrate the dimmer to your desired settings, however, it pairs with Alexa devices with 4 dimmer presets – 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%. While changing routers, all it takes is a restart and the switches pair again with all presets and name (provided the SSID and password of the new router is same as the previous one). They are easy to spot at night with a dim white circle.

Works much better than TreatLife, read this is having issues with brightness dimming calibration. – These switches worked significantly better than the Treatlife Smart Dimmer Switches. The treatlife switches would turn on the wrong lights based on wireless communication.

Works great – Install was a little tricky as our old house had shallow junction boxes, so the plate is not flush with the wall on the one we could install. We weren’t able to fit the other two in the desired locations. It was relatively easy to connect to our Google home.
