      Let there be light! – Had a little difficulty setting up two lights in my study room. Took a little longer than expected.

      Great – Just Works – But Basic – I initially was a Hue bulb user but I had multiple quirks so I completely dumped them and switched over to the Kasa Bulbs. Reason I picked the Kasa Bulbs over others was because I already had some Kasa Switches and Kasa Plugs so I didn’t want another App and another eco system to worry about. Also, my existing Kasa stuff works perfectly. With that said, here’s my review

      Easy to set up and use – I have used these bulbs before. The first set I bought is still going strong after 1 year and so I bought some more. The app is easy to set up. I have multiple devices on multiple different timers. I like that you can set up multiple timers for the same lights. Some others I have tried you only get to to set up 1 timer for the same light. Color options is good and brightness is good. It isn’t going to replace a 100W bulb but I wouldn’t expect it to since it’s not a 100W equivalent.

      Not as bright as expected. – These are good lights, just not as bright as I had expected. They connect and integrate very easily with my current Alexa smart light setup, are fun to change the colors with and are pretty reliable as I can tell. The only issue I have with them is that they aren’t as bright as some other smart bulbs I’ve purchased. These look to me like they’d have the brightness equivalent to say a 40 watt bulb. Other than that, they’re ok. I can’t say I’d recommend them though.

      Lightbulb vs. Wifi connection issue fixed – Thought my bulbs were defected. I already purchased the same bulbs a month or two previously. WTH happened since then? After hours of persistence, messing with my router setting (wont get my life back on that) and digging for help content online (fingers about to fall off) I finally got the bulbs to work through iPhone settings for Kasa app. That change in installation process was very frustrating and could’ve been prevented with obvious instructions.

      Easy setup – My dad never ran the extra wire to my ceiling fan to control the fan and light separately and it’s not remote controlled so this made me able to control at least the light with my phone. It’s worth noting I have a huge dome on my light so I could fit candelabra base adapters, which are a common size for most ceiling fan bulbs

Great for multiple room lamps. – I love Kasa plugs for turning things on/off (lights, fans, coffee pot) … simple to setup and the app is easy to use to define rooms and devices in each. The light bulbs worked great for two table lamps where I don’t always want both on at the same time. Giving them different sounding names seems to work better with Alexa/Echo. Very happy with these. They do a nice job lighting up the room too. They arrive nicely packaged as well, so now I’m thinking these might make fun gifts too.
