      Feeling safe – Bought this to take with us on our vacation trip. This did give me peace of mind knowing I had my own alert system in place. It worked well and is really loud.

      Useful for travel – I like the portability of the unit. I use it in my apartment. When I travel overseas I take it with me as well. The unit in my daughter’s house went off. She had a leak. She called the Fire Dept. Her unit may have saved her life!

      Large size for suitcase portability – Added this to my 6 month stay at a condo in Mexico. Safety first. But it is a bit larger than I expected and does take up travel bag/room. I do wish I had found a travel size that could easily go with. I’ll probably leave behind here.

      I’d give this five stars if… – Just plug it in and you’re done. However, the prongs are smack dab in the middle of the unit so even if you turn it sideways, it won’t leave enough room to plug something into the other socket. Otherwise I’d give it five stars.

      Overall,effective. – I purchased this for traveling purposes, specifically with traveling to foreign countries that do not have CO2 detectors. It came packaged neatly, and received in a timely manner. Once I opened it, it was very easy to set up, there’s instructions included and you literally plug into the wall to start using. The only issue that I had, is the door that houses the batteries is not secure and continues to slide off. Because of that I will have to send back and will purchase once replace it. That is the only issue that I had, outside of that works great I’ve had no issues granted I was only able to utilize it for a day or two but will be sending back. I will update once I receive my replacement if there are any changes and we’ll add as an addendum.

My garage is small enough that if I crack the garage door open for extra ventilation it becomes impossible to keep the space warm with a mere 60k BTUs. Having this CO detector installed makes me feel a lot more comfortable running the heater with less ventilation.
