Works as it is supposed to. – Kidde KN-COPP-3 Nighthawk Plug-In Carbon Monoxide Alarm with Battery Backup and Digital Display is a wonderful product. I had one in my new house when I brought it. But I decided to get another on a different floor just as a back up. The unit works perfectly well. There is one complaint that I have, when plugged into the outlet, it tends to come loose very easily. But since it comes with the 9V battery, I was not worried. I did get a few false alarms in the beginning but it has not been case for the past few months. Overall, I am very happy with the product. It does what is supposed to do. I had decided to buy the unit after doing very extensive review of the detectors and this one seems to get the best reviews. I would recommend this to anyone. Loud Beep – Be careful when you put the batteries in. It makes an incredibly loud beep – not an exaggeration. It was VERY loud. My Wyze cameras detect when a carbon monoxide alarm has gone off and they alerted me when my son accidentally pressed the test button.

Kidde carbon monoxide replacement – After 6 years, my Kidde carbon monoxide needed to be replaced. This is a step up from the Kidde model I had. The biggest downside is the battery door. Difficult to distinguish and super difficult to open especially if you have arthritis or neuropathy in your hands. I had to use a flat head screw driver to get the cover off. It takes one 9-volt battery which is included. Nice. Also included are 2 small stickers for quick reference should the monitor display a code while beeping. Also nice. Won’t have to pull out the small instruction leaflet which is confusing. The monitor is working fine and I hope it works when/if it’s truly needed.

added protection with a read out – A good add on to the standard monitors you can buy with the added bonus of having a visual readout to see what the levels actually are. Didn’t want to purchase this at first, but found that knowing what the level is could be beneficial. Easy to setup and has a battery backup. The plug in cable has a nice length extension to make it easy to locate an ideal mounting area for it.
