Good quality – The seat fitted perfectly for Kohler elongated toilet. Installation was very easy. The seat is made from shiny white plastic, it is not very heavy but sturdy. I like it.

It Fits the Toilet, as well as most reasonably sized Gluteus Maximi. – My loo has been very happy with this product. The seat has a tendency to go slightly lopsided after a few weeks, requiring the repositioning and possibly retightening of one of the mounts, but otherwise it works well, preventing the average person from taking an ice-cold sitz bath, and insuring that unpleasant substances don’t ooze down the exterior of the bowl (and it’s easy enough to clean). Not a soft close. – Fits perfect, but like others, believed I was purchasing a soft closed unit. Not sure if they clarified listing after purchase, but wish I’d gotten soft closed version. Also, four star due to comfort which is fine, but not optimal.

Toilet seat – This was the wrong size for my toiled. I measured against the box before opening, but of course when I opened the box it was to small and I was unable to return it.

Light weight seat – Somehow I had expected a soft close seat, it’s not. This model K-4774-0 is a moderately thick plastic seat and lid, I suppose sturdy enough for average users. I wouldn’t stand on the seat lid though it feels solid enough when using the toilet for a bathroom chair with the lid closed. There are a couple of plastic bumper pads that fit into the seat lid, but nothing for the toilet seat itself. So it is quite loud when dropped shut.

An inexpensive choice – It’s an inexpensive toilet seat. Sits comfortably and made of plastic so it’s easy to clean. The people who used my toilet before had left it stained and gross. It was impossible to get out because it was wood, so this plastic should do the trick. I could see the block in the middle being a bit difficult to clean in the future, especially if you have men/boys in the household. But it’s good for now! Easy to install.

Easy close, no more slamming – My wife and daughter avoid anything that deals with the toilet. So much so, they don’t even like to touch the lid while closing it. So, they let it slam close. This makes me cringe every single time. How long can this go on before something breaks. I bought this seat because the old one was well… old. Much to my surprise it softly closes with no SLAM!!! HA I beat them at their own game. Now if I can only get them to clean the toilet. HA!
