Awesome Lights – This was an amazing purchase. The setup process was mostly fine, there was one small strip that wouldn’t stick to the wall. However, that wasn’t a problem because I just used some double-sided tape. The rest of the setup process went smooth. In my case, we only used one of the rolls of 50 feet. The cable comes with 2 spots where you can plug in both rolls of 50 feet. Which one you plug it into has to be one or the other. At first after setup, the lights didn’t turn on due to plugging them into the wrong cable. After that was fixed, the lights were perfect and the remote was automatically connected and had batteries in them. And the lights also worked with the app on my smartphone. Just make sure you scan the QR Code in the user manual, then install that app.

Cute lights when everything works – These go along the top of my daughter’s bedroom. They look great once up and the remote makes changing colors easy. The first set we bought the first section of the lights wouldn’t change color. So they were stuck on one color. We bought a second set and everything seems ok for now. The back is sticky and you just peel and push it on the wall. But we have noticed it starting to come down. So it will need additional adhesive to keep it up. Overall, my daugher really likes it and it looks good.

I absolutely love these. I have these! – We installed the lighting last night. I should have taken pictures because it’s not only great, it’s stunning. We put one box (2 ea. 50′ ribbon) in my kitchen, a lot of it is inside my cabinets. So when I turn them on I can see inside my cabinets even in the little nooks and crannies. Since I had a whole other box of lights, we put them up in my living room. They are straight and bright if you want it bright, if not choose a cooler color. Very easy and the remote doesn’t need explaining. *The homes where professional Christmas lights are straight and show the architectural features at night. It’s like that. No need for a lamp for ambience. I couldn’t be happier!

Lights for effect only – These lights really only work for accent coloring in a dark room only. They are not that bright, so they will be lost in any other ambient room lighting. The bigger disappointment I have is you cannot hook these up to an external timer because they default to the flashing red green and blue. They do not come on to the color, mode, brightness, etc. that they were set to when you disconnect power to them. That’s fine if you always use the remote to turn the on and off, but that is not how I plan to use them. Keep that in mind for your application.

8mm lights – These lights work great. But one thing that was VERY annoying is that nowhere is it clearly stated that these lights are not the standard 10mm rgb lights, they are 8mm. Wasted some money buying the wrong connectors which isn’t a huge deal since they’re inexpensive but I would’ve preferred it be printed somewhere so I didn’t have to waste time with an unfinished room. Also these lights are a bit more spaced out than other rgb lights which, if you aren’t good at taping in straight lines like me, works out really well as it’s harder to notice any crooked taping. Good product, but FYI you’ll need 8mm connector pieces.

The only issue I have is the color resets to strobing RGB on power cycle, making it not very ideal for a smart plug. I walk into my kitchen and my motion sensor sees me and kicks my kitchen into party mode every time I walk into it because it allow saving a color from previous power-on state. Not a huge deal, but would have been good to know beforehand.
