Some Things Ought NOT To Scale Proportionately – These little heat shrink solder connectors are truly the best thing since wire nuts. The clear tube makes it easy to position the connector.

Seals slip a bit – Assure the seals inside the fitting don’t slide when moving over connection area. They can move but when they stay put, it works really well.

Not an electrician – But these were super cool to use. Didn’t shrink as easily as i expected — had to hold the heat gun really close. And couldn’t rotate the wire because of the small gauge (would break), but was able to press it with my fingers when it was soft. Could see the soldering occur. Dabbed the connection with liquid tape. No issues.

My favorite connectors – I bought a smaller pack of these to try and I liked them so much I bought this larger pack. I can’t think of a single time these failed after I figured out how to heat them properly. Getting the heat just right can be tricky but I’ve had the best luck with a regular BBQ lighter and moving the flame slowly around the connector. Once you get the hang of it, they’re really excellent connectors.

Finally, something that works – I’ve tried 2 other dealers of this item. Biggest problem is getting the solder to flow. These work. The smaller ones are easy to do. The bigger ones take a lot of patience. The heat shrink is a different size one each side, just like all the other crap out here, but at least it will seal and not melt. One hint… Give the larger ones a full minute or more to cool down before you test them. Other than that, these work.

Great for what they are – I love these things changed my wiring jobs for good! I use them for car wiring speakers radio etc they work great I love how they seal. They’re easy to use if you know how to use a heat gun you can easily burn the wire but that’s human error not so much the product. Love them wish I got more for the price but it’s alright, as far as water proof or water resistant i can’t speak on that i wouldn’t want wires near water or moister so I’m not gonna be the one to test that. Great product holds them firmly and tight for the most part happy with them.

Use a heat gun and control your heat! And make sure wire is clean! – A little background: I’ve been doing electrical and electronics for over 40 years and was an aviation electronics tech in the US Navy so I’ve worked on everything from simple car/truck/trailer wiring, residential/commercial electrical, and electrical/electronics on military aircraft so I’ve dealt with wires as small as 24awg all the way up to 500 MCM (wires about 1″ across) which means I’ve done a fair bit of splicing in my life. Now with that said nothing will replace a straight un-spliced wire but that’s in a perfect world. Your sooner or later going to have to repair a wire or connect prewired devices to existing wiring. A solder joint is one of the best ways to do this and adding heat shrink to protect and insulate the splice has been the best method and next being a mechanical splice which is the next best thing. I found out about these via a YouTube video and of course looked on Amazon for them, I found so many different sellers and the reviews ranged from 1 Star to 5 Stars so I thought I would order some and give them a try. Glad I did because they work great and plan to buy more. From what I can see after using them and seeing the complaint reviews is a couple of things.
