Easy Set up – Right out of the box this is unit is incredibly easy to set up. I wanted an inexpensive projector that performed well and was easy to use. This fit the bill. It came with the Northern Hemisphere (as I’d hoped) and Earth and Moon disks. With the enclosed remote you can change the rotation, turn on the leds and set the timer. You can only focus it manually though, using the dial around the lens. All in all, a great unit.

Amazing Projector and Great Value – I’m an experienced astrophotographer and these projectors do an excellent job of displaying astro images. I ended up purchasing 4 of them along with nearly every astro disc I could find. Resolution is surprisingly good. Additional resolution from a DS-1 or a Homestar Flux are overkill unless you have a 15’x15′ projection area and get within feet of the images to notice the added detail. The astrophotos themselves are arguably the limiting factor rather than the projector or discs.

Relaxing at the end of the day! – I wanted a planetarium projector that projected a somewhat realistic depiction of stars on my bedroom ceiling. I am pleased with the image quality, but do wish it was a bit brighter. As other reviewers have mentioned, I am dismayed with the 3 hour auto shut off. This projector uses only a few watts and an 8 hour auto shut off or even a constant on setting would have been much nicer to have. I would have opted for the Sega Flux or the Dark Skys projector, but these don’t appear to offer remote control access. I do hope LaView offers more realistic disc options in the future. Even with a few minor criticisms , I would highly recommend this fun and relaxing product.

The sea and dinosaur are a little silly but great if you have a kid. I think the galaxy ones are pretty cool and the whole reason i bought the projector. It’s pretty nice and the picture is ok. It doesn’t do anything super crazy but the projection rotates and there’s a laser that has green light. The laser is pretty cool and fills the room pretty nicely. I would say buy it if you think you’ll get a lot of use out of it but if you don’t plan on using it a lot i think there are cheaper options that could be just as fun. Finding a cool galaxy projector can be hard but this one is decent but nothing spectacular.

I was coming from using another projector with more light in the room, like when the TV is on that is not the purpose of this. If you turn all the lights completely off, this thing really does have its place. I would love for it to be a little bit better at focusing on all sides of the ceiling, but when ordering a replacement I had two of them at once and put the same one and different combinations of images on the ceiling and I actually really started to fall in love with it. Now I’m keeping both lol ♂️
