GREAT! Exactly what I was in hope for! – Wonderful bulbs, was worried they would be too bright or dim, or color would be odd. Look just like the old regular bulbs.

Good quality – These bulbs are good, but took a star off, as their metal screw-in base are a little short by 2-3 mm. I had to add some solder drops to the bottom of the metal screw to extend them, as the conventional sockets are deep. I normally re-extend/bend up, the socket bottom metal contact to compensate for short light bulbs.

Save money for a direct replacement C7 bulb – We received these to replace all the bulbs in my wife’s Christmas village set. We used all 25 bulbs which will pay for themselves in no time. .6.w verse 7w is a 10x savings in energy, not to mention these bulbs are much less fragile to drops than standard bulbs. The light color was very similar to the old bulbs, maybe one shade whiter which we liked as it lit up the village much better. For the price these are a no brainer! Get them!

They work but I had to screw them in really tight – At first I was convinced these were all dead because when I tried to screw them in to the lamp to replace an incandescent bulb none of them came on. So I carefully compared these to the old bulbs and the thread was the same size for sure but one thing was different the older bulb had a larger pointy contact part on the end, these were maybe 1/16 of an inch shorter. So I had to screw them in pretty tight to get them to make contact. It may not be a problem for all light sockets, but it could for some.

Rounded base will not connect socket. – The rounded bulb base will not make contact with the socket. Space in the socket too narrow for large round tip of bulb.

Bottom of base too short – These are nice bulbs and worked great in our night lights and other places requiring C7 bulbs but didn’t work in our Christmas window candles. Although the base is an E12 like our other candle bulbs, the length of the black, ceramic insulator and the metal button at the bottom wasn’t long enough to make connection in the bottom of the candle socket. Other C7/E12 LED bulbs purchased from Amazon worked fine. I’m not sure how you can determine this from the bulb descriptions in Amazon listings.
