      High Quality Machined Measuring Tool – This miter saw protractor was very well constructed of good quality solid aluminum. Looks like it could be used and abused and hold up. Markings are easy to read and understand what you are looking at. Only thing I wish it had was a lock to hold the angle, but movement is currently stiff enough to hold to read. May loosen over time but there is a tightening screw on the back to adjust. More than worth the $15 I paid for it. I would recommend purchasing.

      Fantastic tool for gathering necessary miter information – Great quality for a very useful tool! If you have been looking at purchasing this tool and been reluctant to do so yet….buy it. A lot of folks gravitate towards the digital versions of these. For myself I like these more mechanical versions. I believe using and reading the increments on this tool help you to understand angles better than just simply reading a digital screen.

Feels like a precision instrument at a reasonable price. Checked first thing on a calibrated 90/45deg reference and read 90 and 45. Overall happy with this.

      Quality tool, designed in USA made in China, would be improved by a vernier scale – This is a good protractor for angle finding, used for things like making accurate cuts in crown molding. Contrary to some of the other reviews, although it is an American company, it is actually manufactured in China. The quality is quite high, and because it is aluminum it should be durable. It could have been improved by adding a vernier scale to allow it to be read to higher precision (my chop saw does have a vernier scale), but overall I am happy with the tool.
