Perfect for areas where the light gets left on too much – So first off, I am a dad. I have the inherent gene of turning lights off throughout the house as I walk by rooms with no one present, ranting about the electric bill, and telling everyone that money doesn’t grow on trees. I, like my father before me, and every other dad in America have an obsession with turning off lights. It is part of our instinct to keep it dark for some reason. Well, I have a pantry that my family goes in and out of constantly leaving the light on. My fix at first was to hang a bell on the door of the pantry to alert me that someone went in and thereby setting my internal timer to yell for them to come back or get up and turn it off. Being the yelling dad is an old trope that I wanted to keep out of my house, so I bought these sensor switches and as a result my life is vastly improved. I can now watch an entire episode of whatever inane television show happens to be on the box without that annoying bell going off, and without having to feel like I am always yelling for others in the house to do something that I have already told them about a thousand times before. These switches have made me a better father and husband.

Instructions need some improvement regarding white/black wire in the wall. – the instructions address what to do if you have two black wires a neutral, and ground in the wall , or two black and one white wire with a ground. My house however has one black wire, one white and a ground which is not covered by the instructions. I called the help line and they answered quickly and gave me the secret advice. One black wire to the black wall wire, one black wire to the white wall wire and the green and ground wire to the ground wire in the wall, this worked.

Motion Sensor Light Switch – Wife said she wanted a light switch that would come on when the pantry door was open. The switch was located inside the pantry so this was a perfect switch replacement solution. Install was easy and quick.

Took 4 hours (over 2 days) and a phone call to install due to crappy installation info. – Yup. I spent hours and hours on a Sunday trying to figure out what I was doing wrong with such a simple task. Called the support number on Monday. I described the problem (light was constantly on and the buttons did nothing) and the guy knew instantly what the problem was. THE INSTRUCTIONS ARE WRONG.

Works great! – This sensor works great. I constantly have my bedroom closet light on because I go in and out so frequently.

Excellent like the maestro dimmers – Easy to install in pantry without neutral. Yes neutral is in box but the old switch on used the hot. This motion is spot on every time and it’s easy to change the stay on time by simply hiding the main button until light flashes. See instructions. I bought this because of the Maestro name thinking it could be added to the app but this is the cheaper version.
