Used as soon as I got it – The last remaining jobs for the season involved cutting string supports. My last pruners wouldn’t cut string or nylon as these cords would just bend. These new blades cut everything including grape vines. The design is easy to use even for big hands with little effort.

Upon using these shears I found them to be very lightweight and very sharp. I was able to cut 2 inch branches with ease. The ratchet feature is not a heavy duty feature but often helpful for touch or thicker branches and it doesn’t seem to get stuck with debris, unlock other ratchet clippers, so it functions well but not intrusive to the quick action of the sharp clippers.
