Easy install worked great – A few months ago our landscaper broke the doorbell button and the switch was stuck open and burned out our doorbell chime. I bought this one this week and it was very easy to install. I am very impressed. An electrician wanted $150 to come to the house to do this and it cost me $13 because Amazon had this listed. Love it!

Bueno, aunque su volumen es bajo – El producto en sí es bueno, fácil de instalar, es más pequeño de lo que creí, pero está bien. Lo conecté con mi Ring video doorbell pro, pero el volumen de la campana es muy bajo y no se puede regular su intensidad. Si tu casa es pequeña es una excelente inversión; pero si tu casa es grande como la mía, quizá te convenga hacer una inversión en un timbre digital porque suena más fuerte y sí es posible controlar su volumen.

Basic AC Powered Doorbell – This is a doorbell that is powered by a standard 16-24v door bell transformer. I replaced an old rusty one that’s been in my house probably 50 or so years and this worked fine. It’s a pretty basic unit and does what it should, but I feel that the chime isn’t loud enough. I know I have it wired correctly as I tested it both with the one in my house and a new one I had and the volume was the same. The plastic box is a tad smaller than the old one I had. I had really hoped it would be the same size so it could match the “paint hole” but it didn’t. I won’t hold that against the door bell however, but I do think the plastic is incredibly cheap. This thing creaked and groaned in my hand, and I am confident that if I gripped it too hard, I could have easily cracked the outer casing. This is contrary to the one I replaced it with that was very solid. They don’t make ’em like they used to, I guess. It works fine, I just wish there were better options.

Goes “ding” instead of “ding-dong” – This is a replacement Chime for my Emerson electric doorbell, using existing wiring and transformer. My front doorbell pushbutton is a Ring doorbell, and connected using the wiring of the original pushbutton.
