Slow Drain – When its pulled up, it drains super slow. It looks like it plugs the drain, bc it is so slow. I prefer the original, drain strainer to this one.

Universal Kitchen sink stopper – Love this easy to use sink stopper. It is Durable rubber & easy to use. If you twist off the little knob, no worries; it pops right back on.

Clogs sink immediately; rubber eventually wore off – I had a different oxo strainer before and that lasted me years before the rubber wore out. I thought I got an upgrade when I bought this one. It clogs immediately even if the basket isn’t filled with scraps. I constantly have to take it out to let water go down… Really, CONSTANTLY. Also, just a few months after getting it, the rubber wore off. I remove it before pouring overly hot liquid down drain. I do tend to keep my water running hot but this never happened before so quickly. Waste of money. I’m trying a Dripsie.

Great strainer with one small defect – This is a high quality strainer. It is easy to clean and seals the drain very effectively. The only defect is that the valve that closes the strainer (to stop water from going down the drain) tends to close too easily. If you are doing dishes, it is common to bump against the little handle and it will close the valve. This gets annoying after a while, having to open it back up. But this is a small detail compared to the rest of the pros.

Great sink stopper for multi-use!! – This item is a win! Its functions as a sink stopper and strainer. To use it as a sink strainer take off the bottom portion. Use it as a sink stopper put it back on. So glad a bought it!

Best strainer ever until…… – The moment we received this product in September/October of 2020, we were SOOO happy! It works fantastically well…..there’s just one drawback, it seems that the silicon becomes terribly moldy and it’s not the kind of mold that can be wiped or scrubbed away….I have tried soaking it in hydrogen peroxide, even in bleach, to no avail……we’re still using one of the two that we purchased and we’re praying that that GUNK isn’t dangerous mold.

Nifty, but seal only lasted about 7 months. – Nice and convenient drain stopper and strainer. Some have complained that it closes too easily and unintentionally stopping up the sink. I didn’t notice until after a few months of using it, that you need to turn the nob in the center ever so slightly to the left, and it will lock it open. Once I figured that out, no problem.
