Not bad – I bought this to block my dog from my daughter’s room. She is a 60+ lb pittie so I wasn’t sure it would stop her but it does well overall. My biggest complaint is the lock feature. It is difficult to work one handed and since I have it to its full length, using one hand is my only option. You can unlock it and open the gate with one hand but you have to return it all the way before it can be unlocked again. The second the gate moves even a hair back it locks again so it can be a pain. I wish there was a way to simply set it to unlock all of the time.

Hard to use with one hand – This product was super easy to install! It even came with marked for where to install the holders. My 90+ pound dog ended up putting his front paws up on the top of it and it stayed up! Very durable, the only downside is that it’s extremely hard to open with one hand, but not unmanageable!

Easy to Install – Honestly it took me no time to drill into the wall and mount this. The Installation process is extremely simple and I even took my sweet time centering it. Since everyone has said a thing about the locking mechanism. The picture I have is just a bread tie that I gently slid into the gap between the plastic and the knob which will keep this thing unlocked. I made it obvious with a yellow one. I have a very small piece cut and out it in there where you can’t hardly see it and it won’t fall in or break/gouge the plastic.

Easy to install, Difficult for active families – I think I liked the idea better than the actual product. It does what it should do but I didn’t expect it to be harder to open than a walk through gate. The bottom of the gate is also flimsy and if a small puppy tried hard enough they could go under it. Overall it’s super easy to install but just lacks in some areas. We’re not returning it and will still use it but thought others should know.
