Very Good Product – I have Hue so I try to get Hue products like this to integrate into the system. This one operates the Christmas tree. There was a day or two where this would flicker of and on on its own but over the course of several weeks, it did not occur again so as with all technology, I just chalked it up to some basic software hiccups that eventually work themselves out.

Rock. Solid. Every. Time. – Firstly, go and do research on the difference between wifi, Bluetooth and zigbee. You will find that zigbee was made for light, low energy, long range, low data, natural mesh network. Ie the more you have the better the results, the opposite of wifi and Bluetooth. So, on paper, it’s the ideal solution.

Works with 5g – I had my doubts about buying this because most smart outlets require 2.4 g. I did away with my 2.4 g router and went to 5g. Most of my wifi went down so I needed 5g smart outlets. I took a chance and these work. Entered my 5g wifi and no problem. Click on. Works fine.

I use the Phillips Hue Switch to turn my Gaggia Classic Pro Espresso machine on 30 min before I wake up every morning to preheat. Then I have it set to turn off when I leave the house. I would highly recommend to anyone that wants to automate something!
