Works on 99% of doors – So I bought this so I could take it on trips and more securely lock the hotel door. However, when I went to install it on the hotel door the way the hotel door lock and handle worked, this want compatible. The door handle and knob weren’t traditional ones. It does work on regular door handles and knobs though and is very easy to install. Took me a few tries to get it, maybe a couple minutes, but that was it.

The best door protection – Who doesn’t like to have a doenle security in your home. These are one of the best I’ve ever purchased. Not only that it’s easy to install it is also portable. Since I bought a pair the extra pair I carry all the time when we go out of town. Absolutely great for hotels and even for short term rentals

Causes slight cosmetic damage to the door. – I had something similar to this years ago. This one works even better. The silly thing is I bought hit for a door that already has a lock on it. No fault of the product. It does exactly what it is supposed to do but it does a slight cosmetic damage to the door.

Surprisingly works as advertised – Thankfully haven’t been in a hotel where I felt the need to use this yet but I have tested it at home and it worked as advertised. It’s not going to stop a boot to the door but it’s prevent anyone that picks the lock or hacks an NFC lock.

It bent when we took it to a hotel. – I wanted to be safe and got these for when I am home alone and for when me and my partner go to hotels and stuff out of town and when we took it for our anniversary to this hotel room when he tried to close the door the actual part that goes into the door bent and we decided not to use it. It does work cuz we’ve used it on our front door. However, I would just say depending on the hotel room I would get something else or at least get something sturdier. It does do the job. Just pay attention to it bending and everything

Seems to work. . . if it fits your door. . . – Got these for an AirBNB home. It fit the door leading out to the garage, however it did not fit into the front door which was disappointing since that’s really the door I would be more concerned about. Nothing about the front door hardware seemed abnormal/oversized/non-standard so it was surprising it didn’t fit. As far as the garage door went, it was a little fiddly trying to get it in place and the door shut with it in the right spot, however, it did seem to keep the door from being able to be opened. I didn’t try to break down the door, but no one would be able to get in without causing enough noise to alert us to their presence so that was some peace of mind. I’ll definitely take with us for future trips, just wish they were truly universal.
