Works as advertised. I’m satisfied. – I bought this for a slightly different purpose than advertised. For our dogs, rather than hanging tags on their collars, we like to rivet brass name/info tags directly onto the collar. I tried using a drill to make a clean hole in their woven nylon collars, but it only made a mess. This hole punch was able to quickly and easily punch a clean hole in the woven nylon collars, resulting in a much cleaner look.

Impressed – I spent twice the price for a German made version from a well known leather company and was extremely disappointed as it wouldnt even punch 2-3oz leather.

Works well – It does what it’s supposed to. I see it’s made in China. However, the tool is too well thought out to be designed there. And the included tools and support materials such as the accompanying video tells me it probably owned and designed by a small US business. I will usually stay away from made in China products where possible. But I have to give credit. It’s well made and has proper instructions. It was easy to use and I poked a couple of holes in really thick leather belts. Good luck to the small company that makes it. It’s very inexpensive for what it is. I say it’s worth twice to price. Can’t go wrong.

Great! – I used this product to add to my beginner leather working kit. It works great! Punched holes through fairly thick leather with ease even when I layered sheets on top of one another. I will agree with other reviews in that the turn knob to change the diameter of the punch is stiff and kinda hard to turn, but it DOES loosen up with use and it is in no way impossible to turn. The needle tool that It came with is especially helpful for digging out the punched pieces when they get stuck in the punch; which does happen fairly often. But to be honest, I’ve never had a punch that DOESNT get pieces stuck in it. It is very easy to hold and squeeze (I do not have particularly strong hands). Overall a good tool.

Saved my four “100 Year” HANK’s Belts – I bought this to poke some holes in cheap department store belts. At the time I did not foresee using it for anything more demanding. Lucky for me I spent a few extra dollars for this tool just because it looked and was reviewed as genuinely well made. I eventually bought four seriously high quality belts from HANK’s Belts for general use and concealed carry when my Maryland carry permit (finally) arrived. The belts were all 14-18 ounce full grain leather, really beautiful. Problem came when I started to diet and exercise and began to lose weight. I soon found myself on the last holes cinching the belt up tight so my pants wouldn’t fall down. I wrote to HANK’s Belts to see if I cold mail back the belts and pay for some extra holes to be punched in them. They could not oblige me. Then I remembered this leather punch and decided to try it on my 85$ belts- otherwise unwearable. To my delight, this tool puched perfectly clean and sharp edged finished looking holes in my belts. Thank you for making such a solid tool that saved four 85$ belts for continued wear!
