My boyfriend has zero complaints – I bought these for my boyfriend and he has complained about his hands yet. You obviously will have to break them in when you first get them but after that they are awesome!

Awesome to place logs in wood burning stove – I got a wood insert burning stove for my fireplace. It was suggested to get some welding gloves to place the logs into a hot box or even a burning fire. They were right. No issues at all. They do get very dusy/dirty from the ash, but I bang them against each other outdoors to get it off. Not sure if I was these if they would lose the heat resistance.

Got them for handling cacti – Bought these gloves to use when handling cactus. First patient was a stetsonia with 5″ spines, pictured above, that needed to be unpacked and potted. A truly daunting task. Got it potted without even one prick. A miracle. Great gloves for what i bought them for.

You must have at least one hand to make decent use of these – Five stars! Appreciate that these came in a pair: one for the left hand, one for the right hand. Whew! SO much better than last time. Used them for handling equipment for casting metal: hot molds, tools, and occasionally *quickly* knocking hot but unmelted metal scraps back into the furnace. A good part of a complete foundry safety kit. Also good for welding. *** Note to the manufacturer: please sew the tips of the linings more tightly to the tips of the inside of the leather outers, to prevent the linings getting loose and jammed — this matters when donning speed is a safety issue. Otherwise, a good value for the money.

They work! Keeps you safe while linserting firewood into your wood stove. – Although we have a forced air heating system, we realy enjoy the warnth of wood in our fireplace insert, so we use it often during the winter. These gloves are a perfect replacement for the old ones that can no longer do the job.

Great – Can grab red hot coals and move anything I want around in my fire place… I know… but I do it… and they work great… I’ve got about 20 sec before it gets too hot if it’s over 1000f (the top side of the gloves aren’t as heat resistant, but the palm is. Mine are a bit stiffer now after use, but still resist heat just as good as they did at the start

Really Tough and Excellent Fireplace Gloves… – I don’t know how they make something this substantial for such a low price. They are really thick, well- made, and seem like they can stand up to just about anything. You can stick your hands right in the fire for as long as is required to rearrange the logs, and with the extra long part up your arm, you are fully protected almost up to your elbow too. I wish I had these before wrecking my ski gloves! Those got their nylon melted immediately. And, yes, I actually WAS trying not to do that. These gloves wouldn’t feel or show a thing. I think they are terrific. The toughest gloves I have ever had, that is for sure. Not much on “dexterity”, but that is not what they are all about. These are all about protecting your hands and arms from extreme heat. And for that, they couldn’t be better. Jim W.
