This Gate Set May Well Save My Father’s Dog’s Life….. – My 88 yr old father just moved in with me … and with Dad came his 50lb dog. Now, I live in an apartment and I have 2 cats and I a granddaughter. This dog has, shall we say, minimal training and she’s been known to nip when she feels threatened. So I kinda have my hands full with this dog.

Works like a charm! – We used this while on vacation to keep our dogs inside the tiled kitchen. Since our dogs are small, and there are no horizontal bars they couldnt climb it. We ordered 2 of these so each dog had thier own space. We had family check on the dogs a few times a day. Since our yard isn’t fenced, and they are little dogs we didn’t want to leave them outside. Now that we are back from vacation, we recently added a puppy to the mix.. the piece are easy to adjust to make 2 into 1 giant pice with 2 doors, or seperate into several sections. Ours are now seperated into 3 sections to barricade parts of the house off where the puppy isn’t allowed to go. We use the one section with a door infront of the stackable washer and dryer, so we can still open the washer but keep the pup from chewing on the hoses behind the washer. We have a section blocking the trash can so no more tipped trash cans, and the 3rd section keeps the pup out of the stove are and the door let’s us have easy access to the oven still. We didn’t bolt these to the wall, they are free standing. We did buy some piece to keep them from sliding across the floor.

Just what we needed – We moved into my mothers split level home last weekend, and while our existing plastic Evenflo play yard was long enough to handle the shape of her living room (which we promptly took over), it was clunky and crooked and wobbly. I actually love that play yard/gate and We’ve had it for months and months, and fully intend to keep it, but my mother wanted something a little less visible and I wanted something sturdier and easier to maneuver over. We had been finding ourselves hurdling over the gate 9,000 times a day, and my moms got a bad hip so … time to look for something else. I found this gate pretty quickly and it had such good reviews and was such a decent price that I threw it on the cart and had it two days later. I installed it myself in about 20 minutes, between adjusting and screwing and rearranging and whatnot. I’m 16 weeks pregnant w another and I found this gate to be easy to set up despite its possible long length.

Finally found a gate large enough and at a soso price – Ok so I’ve been looking for a gate long enough for my living room. The opening between my kitchen and living room is 180inches and the gate is I believe goes up to 192inches. It was a perfect fit but I made it work as you can see in the picture. It is a bit wobbly but given how long it is I figured it would be like that. It does well keeping my pups out of the living room and my toddler out of the kitchen. I would have liked for the price to be a little lower because the sturdiness isn’t the way I would like it to be. All in all, I like the gate and happy with my purchase, I just hope it can withstand my toddler’s strength .

Nowhere in their documentation online or in print does it say this, and when that’s pointed out to customer service they basically say they don’t care. Pretty poor CS. We managed to make it work with one section less (though it isn’t as aesthetically pleasing), and it does the job of keeping our toddler and infant away from the wood stove.
