Very useful, with one limitation… – This product came well packaged, is an excellent design, with one limitation: the magnetic ring around the lighted end is not strong enough to pick up anything of substantial weight; it had difficulty holding onto a 1 1/2″ brad (very thin and lightweight) dropped onto a nub carpet. Once an object is sighted with the light, I imagine you could reverse the ends to use the unlighted complete magnetic end and have no problem. I will keep it because I believe I can work within its limitations. Maybe the designer can increase the width of the circumference of the lighted end to eliminate this weakness.

Magnetic retriever saves the day – My husband first laughed when I first gave it to him for his birthday, but he didn’t laugh long. It came in handy when we dropped screws behind the washer, or money out from under the dryer, finding items when a friend dropped some bolts when working on the car and to retrieve my keys when they fell between a cabinet and refrigerator. It is the most handy little gadget to have in our toolbox or utility drawer. One tool I have never regretted gifting my husband, and me also.
