      Vernado is good quality. Holds up better then generic version – Package arrives in perfect condition and sealed for consumer protection. Lasts about 3 months with constant running. Humidifier. If you shut off the unit for 12 hours, you may experience decolorization due to the filter drying out which is a normal happening to a filter that is meant to be kept moist in the unit

      These do not work for the Vornado evdc505 model – These wicks are too thick and too wide to fit into the Vornado evdc505, however the description led me to believe they would fit.

      Not ideal, but they work! – I’ve had my Vornado humidifier for years and absolutely love it. The filters are a different story. I find them to be inconsistent from order to order…the ones I bought in 2020 were excellent, the ones I got this year are a little thicker than in previous years and seem to slow the amount of moisture put out into the air. I’ve used the knock off brands as well…big mistake…they only absorbed water halfway up the filter! The Vornado filters at least always work! BTW, filters are meant to capture dirt and imperfections in the water, so they should be a bit of a mess after use. I’ll usually give the filter a gentle vinegar soak after 6 weeks if it’s especially dirty which extends the life by about a month, but it’s not like new. With 2 vinegar baths the filter loses its structural integrity and is useless. These aren’t perfect, but my Vornado humidifier is easily the best I’ve had, so I accept that the filters could be better.

      Easy to install, lasts awhile – I don’t have to replace these too often and replacing them in the Vornado is a breeze! Just lift the top off, pull out old ones, and slide new ones in, replace top and you’re good to go!
