Wind alarm, light flicker – This pan scan camera packs a lot of bang for the buck but leaves some old tech to be desired. Looking outdoors, it sets an “event” every time the wind blows because of palm trees. I can’t find an option to deselect monitoring those leaves. Shadows from the trees also. It identifies them as a person in “AI”. Looking inside, it sets an event every time the lights flicker “20 times per day” the last one is harder. When watching “events” that recorded, I realized that the video is modulating slightly as if the data signal is low or the auto light tuning is lacking. That also triggers an event. Recap, in my first test day, I had roughly 30 events total. All false alarms. Wind, and light flickers primarily with about 5 modulation events. My 10 year old cameras were not artificially intelligent but much more intelligent. No I don’t want to share video of my house inside and out for you to develop better. Fins a tree and wind. My home data speed is about 400mb/sec but I’m sure it fluctuates and has glitches like all internet on earth.

Exactly what I wanted (but needs SD card) – If you set it to Auto, it will bring up night vision when needed. Day, night, all the modes work great and sound too. You need the premium subscription to get some of the features, but if you have a mini SD card, which I had to buy separately, you can access, playback, videos, etc. I get notifications (optional) every time movement is detected. I have cats, so I get a few of notifications throughout the day, but I think the subscription might allow you to eliminate pet movement from detection notifications. I’m just too cheap to get the subscription at the moment. Maybe later. For now, without the subscription, it is serving its purpose perfectly.

Wyze Pan V2 is very good!! – The Wyze Cam Pan V2s are great with a lot of features. Video is very good especially the color night vision is excellent. Wyze Motion detection has great AI feature that it learns based on your feedback what is not motion you want to track.

Great Company – I own several Wyze products. I recently purchased the Wyze Pan V2 to keep up with the pets in the house while we are away. Unfortunately, the cam was dead on arrival. After looking at the Wyze tech support page, I tried all of the recommended procedures in an effort to make the device work. To no avail. So, I contacted Tech support through their website. Less than 24 hours later, I received an email requesting proof of purchase and a picture of the label on the back of the cam. The tech support folks promptly responded and sent another cam to replace the defective part. Great products and great service. I have these all around my home for security. Price is reasonable and service is second to none.

They work but I’m disappointed. – I originally ordered 2 of these in August 2020 and had 1 replaced in October 2022. Sometimes I have to restart the app because it either can’t find the memory cards or simply can’t pass the third security step and actually log into one, or the other camera. A simple restart of the effected camera usually solves the problem.

Works Well In A Garage – First the obvious. This is an interior only camera, and I’m greatly opposed to the idea of cameras inside houses. I just don’t understand what people are thinking doing that. The only time I have a camera inside the house is when I’m on vacation.
