Buyer Beware: The company announced it will no longer support free 6 second video for the app. – Buyer Beware: The company announced it will no longer support free 6 second video for the Yi/Kami Home app. Though they had rescinded the notice after it was emailed to consumers, it serves as a warning that this is what they are considering and when that happens, you are forced to subscribe for service. That would be a sad day for many including myself because I have more than 20 of their cameras in and around my house.

Not 5g compatible. – Purchased in Mar 2022. Upgraded phone/internet to 5g. It does not work with 5g. Unable to reinstall. I also purchased a SD card thinking I would be able to store video and review on PC. It did not store it. Says I must have their Cloud. Maybe I did something wrong. A pretty good camera for the money. My Pros and cons of a purchase. – Pros…I ordered one of these cameras and was impressed mainly bc it worked right out of the box, by following a pretty simple instruction booklet. It is for inside but will shoot through a window to outside if set on regular settings and the camera light is turned off. The IR and other lights reflect in the window but can be turned off. W an outside light on it works fine. In nice weather it can be shot through a screen pretty well. The app will let you flip the screen 180 degrees. Comes w a wall plug that goes in a usb hole on the receiving side. Pretty long cord.

Great Wifi Camera! – Purchased when I went back to work after having my child. I had a friend come to my home to watch my child and it gave me such peace of mind to know I could pop in and check out what was going on. I do give it 4 stars because I wish you could remotely turn or adjust the camera and on two occasions it didn’t notify me of my baby waking up and moving around. But other than those two minor complaints they were overall great cameras. I purchased the 24/7 no Tirol gift package for one camera and I purchased the basic cloud package for the other (both camera were set up in my rom at night time and then I’ll be was moved to the kitchen during the day) and both packages had their perks! If you need the camera simply to monitor baby during naps and night time, the basic plan works great. The basic plan recorded a bit of video with motion or sound feed into in the settings and you could review those videos. If you would like to look back on a day or have the option to rewind to any given time frame (motion or not) then the 35/7 package is also a great option. My only co plaint about that is that there is no faster “fast forward” than 2x speed and ehen you are trying to review a whole work day of footage it is just not realization uless you have 4 hours to sit and review it.

Please DO NOT BUY from this company. – I purchased my cameras over a year ago, when you did not have to have the cami cloud plan. Slowly the company did “firmware updates”. These updates take away from you more and more control of your footage. First it’s the camera won’t work. Then an update takes away smart detection. That feature was the reason I purchased the cameras. I purchased very good cards to read my own videos which was an option then.
