Ever had ice cubes coated like powdered doughnuts? – Here in Tennessee we have this thing called Hard Water. A lot of places have this problem. Scale gets so thick on my water fixtures you need Hydrochloric Acid and a Angle Grinder to clean it. (Only a slight exaggeration). We bought the house with a refrigerator left down stairs. I don’t think they ever changed it. EVER. IN YEARS. Now, refer back to the title of this review.

It does click … – I had the same problems others had with the clicking. The fix for me was to turn the dispenser off and then press slightly hard. You’ll know its installed when the water pressure switches to the filter. Also when filling your first cup be careful it seems to spray everywhere.

Two-day delivery from Amazon at a much cheaper cost, and we had an easily-installed filter and much better water!

Fits my Maytag perfectly – I live in a city with really hard water. These filters help, but not enough that I use the refrigerator water for drinking or for the water kettle (leaves residue at the bottom). However, I replace these every six months regardless if I use the refrigerator water or not in order to keep the refrigerator working property. I get my drinking water from Water & Ice in the 5 gallon water bottles because is tastes much better and doesn’t leave a residue in my water kettle.
