Easy to Program – I was proud that I, as a 68 year old single person, programmed the control and hung it up myself. But now my car won’t open the garage. Somehow by setting the control to open the garage it negated my car program. I have to get out of my car and use the control to open or close the garage door. But the product is very good and is easy to program and install.

Works great after several months – One thing I don’t like is that you have to press a key to get the keypad light to come on. Should come on when the cover is lifted like my old one. But that would add cost. Have to feel around for that first key press in the dark.

Good Device! – What I liked is that it works as advertised. Had a little trouble programming it, programming is a little complicated, but once I got the programming correct it works fine (is a replacement the one I’ve had for several years that started failing).

I wish Genie didn’t have a proprietary controller – I installed it and everything works fine, but I’d rather use a different remote that can control two doors… Now I have both doors opening at the same time whether I like it or not… I don’t see a way to deprogram one of them with my idiotic old opener… Lots of controllers will do two different codes to control two different doors, but alas there are not many options when you own a Genie..

Easily installed – Install was pretty straight forward and simple as was binding it with my door opener. However a strange side effect to this, we had to re-bind both vehicle equipped door openers, one Ford and the other a Mazda.

Works great with Liftmaster & more secure – We’d noticed that someone had left the lid on our old keypad open after (we suspect) trying to guess our code. 4 digits feels kind of guessable, given a little time. We wanted something more secure. Since Liftmaster doesn’t offer a keypad that allows you to set a 5+ digit PIN, but the Genie let’s you set up to 8 digits, we went with this one.

Genie In A Box – Arrived in perfect condition and installed right where the 10 yr old unit came out. Easy to program and was up and running in about 10 minutes.
