Great bulbs for the money! – We have all four bulbs in one bedroom ceiling light fixture. They are very bright and the color changing option works great with our Google assistant. The kids love the update to their bedroom lighting.

Work as expected – I could not initially set up the bulbs. The directions tell you to cycle power the bulb 5 times to get it to blink for setup. This did not work. After searching you tube I found a demo from a guy showing that he had to cycle power several times to get the bulb to start blinking slow, not fast as it does after cycling power 5 times. It took me about 8 power cycles to get the bulb to slow blink and then the setup was successful. I can control the lights with Alexa now.

Bottom Line – Worth It! – I use these bulbs throughout my home. I’m big on automation, and have routines written for my indoor and outdoor lighting. I bought switch plates to block anyone accidentally turning the switches off, and I use only WiFi control and automation with them. Routines turn my outdoor lighting on at sunset, turns them off at sunrise, and is an added safety and security feature to give me peace of mind. And during Halloween, my outdoor lighting can flash some crazy colors and patterns, a spooky treat for the neighborhood kids!

Solid phillips alternative – Overall these lights are amazing! Brighter than I expected on the white light and works flawlessly with my google home. Some reviews say you cant change colors with google but I have not had that issue. The only thing negative about these lights is every once and a while a single bulk will turn off and back on a second later. I have all 4 in my room and it’s usually the same 1 or 2 bulbs that do this so I might just need to reset them. Not a big enough issue to deal with. I would recommend these bulbs unless you use apple homepods because they do not work with siri.
