Works for newer fridges – This water filter works on some of the newer fridges. Keep in mind that apparently some fridges have changed and upgraded the part INSIDE the fridge. So this part may not fit for older fridges, even though, it looks very similar to the old water filters. That was a hard lesson to learn. Double check first.

You get what you pay for – For many years with my previous refrigerators I would purchase aftermarket filter because they we much cheaper. What I did not realize is the NFS rating of those filter were only NFS42 which basically only means it help remove chlorine, taste and odors. This filter is NFS42, NFS53 and NFS401. NFS53 includes up to 50 other chemicals and NFS401 includes pesticides, OTC Drugs and others.

It fits – I originally purchased the knock off brand that offer 3 for $24. The problem is the inside parts do not align. I returned them and purchased this one. It fits perfect. $50 seems a little high.

Anyone have same issue as me ? – So it’s extremely hard to put it on. I looked everywhere . And find out some people have same issue with me that the top should be like 3-9 instead of 12 -6 direction . I uploaded a photo.
